<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and easily provide a hibernation function for a computer in a network environment and to economize power consumption by recovering a working environment into a state before the cut-off of power source when a power source is turned off by any unexpected accident and the power source is turned on again, and automatically turning off the power source when a device is not to be used for fixed time. SOLUTION: When power source supply is cut off by any unexpected accident, a power source part 3 for battery backup supplies emergency power from a battery to a system part and generates an AC power supply cut-off monitor signal. Besides, when the computer is not to be used for fixed time, a power source managing part 2 outputs a time over signal. When a hibernation interrupting signal is inputted corresponding to these signals, a CPU 11 stores the hardware state of the computer at a current time point in a RAM 13 and next stores all the contents in the RAM 13 at the current time point into an auxiliary storage device 5. Next, the CPU 11 cuts off power supplied from the battery.</p> |
