发明名称 POSITION RECOGNIZING METHOD
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the position of an object without an error even when a shape in the object is not fixed and an outline similar to the object exists within a picture by dividing the picture into small areas and detect-processing only the most probable position where the object exists within the small area. SOLUTION: This method set a density measuring window 2 plurally providing measuring point pairs 2c consisting of an inside density measuring point 2a and the outside density measuring point 2b along the inside/outside of the reference outline 1a of a recognition object picture 1. A primary scanning small area 3 is set to scan a window 2 in the area 3. A position maximizing the value of the number of the measuring point pairs 2c within which a difference is not less than a prescribed value is obtained. When the maximum value is less than a prescribed value, the window 2 is moved to a secondary scanning small area 4. When the maximum value is not less than the prescribed value, the candidate of the object is judged to exist in the area 3 to detect-process whether it is the object or not.
