PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform recording, etc., with the optimum power in a phase transition type optical disk. SOLUTION: When the continuously recording amount of information is larger than a predetermined threshold, a CPU 64 outputs a signal to a recording/ reproducing controller 65 so as to perform recording by dividing it into a packet having the same amount of information as the threshold and data recording by a head 30 is controlled. By performing trial writing between the packets, the optimum power at the time of recording is found and the output of a semiconductor laser is set so as to become the optimum power. |
