PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of detecting the opening/ closing of two opening/closing caps constituting one opening part by one detecting means. SOLUTION: In this device, an openable/closable front cover 20 and a paper discharging cover 21 are provided on a main body case 2, and an interlocking switch 23 is interposed in the main body case 2. A turning switch operation lever 24 is attached to the paper discharging cover 21, and an elastic member 25 is fixed to the switch operation lever 24. A part of the elastic member 25 is cut and formed as a pressing member 26, and the pressing member 26 energizes the switch operation lever 24 counter-clockwise while being abutted on the paper ejecting cover 21. An engaging projection 27 is provided on the front cover 20. When both of the paper ejecting cover 21 and the front cover 20 are closed, the engaging projection 27 is engaged with the switch operation lever 24 to be turned clockwise, and the switch terminal is pressed through the switch lever 23b by the elastic member 25 to turn on the interlocking switch 23. |
