PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To operate a device with a determined amount of power, to eliminate wasteful consumption of power, and to use the device while giving priority to the original function of an image forming device, namely an image forming operation, by carrying out toner-image removal when the image forming device is not operated. SOLUTION: A toner removal device 50, composed of a nozzle 51 for the application of a toner-removal treatment liquid, a toner removal roller 52, and a pressure roller 53, and so on, is arranged in a path along which a fed sheet is carried. In a period before the image forming operation of the image forming device, the toner removal device 50 is started up and a toner removal processing is executed. The sheet subjected to the removal processing is sent to an intermediate tray 18. In the case the sheet matching a requested-size sheet is stored in the intermediate tray 18 at the start of the image forming operation, the sheet is fed from the intermediate tray 18, and the image forming operation is carried out. |
