PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the lighting of a cold cathode fluorescent lamp at low temperature, and to easily assemble a device at a low cost without lowering brightness of the tube surface. SOLUTION: An edge-light type back light lighting system for on-vehicle meter is provided with a cold cathode fluorescent lamp 12, a light guide plate 32 for guiding the light emitted from the cold cathode fluorescent lamp 12 and a reflecting plate 34 arranged on or under the light leading plate 32 and for reflecting the light from the light guide plate 32. In this lighting system, a bulb 46a for previously heating the cold cathode fluorescent lamp 12 is provided in a case 44, which is provided along the cylinder direction of the cold cathode fluorescent lamp 12. |
