The lifting device includes a mechanical-electrical arrangement which acts automatically as a drive weight such that a constant drive moment is generated. A motor with a worm gear arrangement is rotatably arranged around the axis of a wheel and acts as the drive weight. The worm gear may sit directly on a driver. The wheel may be a small base wheel drive which engages in the minute wheel parallel to the small base wheel. The drive system may be arranged between the clock mechanism and clock face to correct the drive moment.
