The device has at least one conductor loop (L) with at least one section (A) as a conducting rack on, under or within the surface. At least part of the loop is a temp. dependent Ohmic resistance. Electrical measurement conductors (ML) terminate the beginning and end of a section of the loop. There are devices for measuring the voltage drop on a section of the loop and for controlling or regulating the heated surface (KS) depending on the measured voltage drop.
