Hybrid head piece for a cabriolet vehicle cover

A hybrid head piece (22) for a cabriolet cover (12) comprises hook sections (24, 26) for fixing the head section (22) to the windscreen top (28), rods with linkages, fixing elements and side rails. The head section (22) has a steel lateral construction (30) and the ends (38) of the front side rails (18, 20) and the hooks (24, 26) are attached. The cover is made of a thermoplastic (32), which has a main section (32) which encapsulates the lateral construction. The cover is preferably a polyurethane foam.
