In order to improve the stability and ease of manipulation of an inflatable umbrella with at least one inflatable torus (10) upon which a foil (12) may be stretched to act as a protection against the rain, and - in a development of the invention - in order to obtain a blowing piece which is easy to use, a second torus (15) with approximately the same diameter is arranged perpendicularly to the first torus (10), extends through the first torus (10) with maximum one-fourth of its diameter, is secured thereto at two spots and stretches the foil (12), whereas its remaining part serves as the handle (18) of the umbrella. The second tore (15) has an inflating pipe (17) which may be closed by a stopper and both tori (10, 15) communicate through a flow tube (14). In the development of the invention, the stopper (25) which closes the inflating pipe (17) and which may be removed for venting the umbrella has a through-channel (26) provided with a self-closing valve (30) capable of opening in the air blowing direction. |
