PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain large current by totally adhering a negative electrode active material and a negative electrode can with a pressing punch in which an elastic material is provided to a pressed surface. CONSTITUTION:When the negative electrode active material 4 and the negative electrode can 5 of the nonaqueous electrolyte battery, in which the soft light metal such as lithium. etc., is made to a negative electrode active material, are made to adhere, an elastic material is provided to the abutting surface of a pressing punch, and the material 4 is made to adhere to the unparallel surface of the inner surface of the can 5 by the abutment. Consequently the material 4 is totally pressed uniformly to the can 5 even if the pressing punch surface and the can 5's inner surface flat part are slightly unparallel. Thus the large reaction area of the material 4 can be manufactured with the material 4 and the can 5 adhered. This enables a large current pulse characteristics to be improved. |
