PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium for laser printing which can be clearly printed at a high speed with a laser emission and also has outstanding properties such as light fastness, antiabrasion, water proofness and chemical resistance. SOLUTION: This medium 1 for laser printing consists of at least an undercoat 3 and a concealing layer 4 which are formed, in that order, on one of the faces of a base material 2. The undercoat 3 absorbs a laser beam and the concealing layer 4 contains a metal powder and a white pigment. The laser beam emitted to the medium 1 for laser printing is absorbed by the laser- absorptive undercoat 3, and this undercoat 3 generates heat to break down. In turn, the concealing layer 4 at a laser-emitted area is removed and consequently, light is generated between the non-laser emitted area of the concealing layer 4 and the laser emitted area where the concealing layer 4 is removed, so that print at the laser emitted area can be clearly recognized visually. |
