PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long life electrode having excellent corrosion resistance even under a severe oxidizing environment at high electric potential, where chlorine gas, etc., are generated from alloy surface, such as anode electrolytic treatment of NaCl solution, by using a noble-metal-base amorphous alloy excellent in plastic workability and applicable to large-size members. SOLUTION: A noble-metal-base amorphous alloy, which has a composition represented by the formula, NM100-a-b-c Nia Cub Pc [where NM consists of one or two noble metal elements selected from amovg Pd and Pt and (a), (b), and (c) satisfy, by atomic ratio, 30<=a+b<=45, 3<=b/a<=7, and 18<=c<=25, respectively] and containing Pt by 10-30at% by atomic ratio and also has >=70K temp. width of supercooled solution region▵Tx [▵Tx=(crystallization temp. Tx)-(glass transition temp. Tg)].
