PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smelting reduction equipment unnecessitating an oxygen generating equipment without increasing unit requirement of carbonaceous material by utilizing a part of sensible heat and/or latent heat in the combustible heat discharged from a furnace body instead of pure oxygen to blow the heated air at high temp. into the furnace body, in the smelting reduction equipment for directly producing molten iron by adding iron raw material, carbonaceous material and slag-making agent into the furnace body and blowing oxygen- containing gas. SOLUTION: In the equipment for directly producing the molten iron, a combustion chamber 14 for perfectly burning by introducing a part of the combustible gas discharged from the furnace body 1, a regenerative heat exchanger 15 for introducing the high temp. gas discharged from the combustion chamber and a heated gas supplying device for supplying and heating the heated gas to the regenerative heat exchanger are provided so as to blow the heated gas into the furnace body 1. |
