PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively and simply produce a beverage can lid the thickness of which is specified and which contains colored pigment and/or colored dye and has a good design property. SOLUTION: For a beverage can lid to which a polyester film (colored film) for coating the outside surface of the lid is applied, the exposure of metal at least on the outside surface of the lid is prevented completely by the colored film so that coating is not necessarily required. The colored film, which contacts a lip directly after opening, together with pigment and/or dye to be used, is made to be satisfactory in terms of hood hygiene. The thickness of the colored film is made 3-50μm. The thickness below 3μm is insufficient in strength and barrier properties, while the thickness above 50μm causes difficulty in conformity to the deformation of a coating layer in a place which is deformed relatively largely, such as a rivet mounting part. The sublimation index is made not greater than 3. The index exceeding 3 may cause the deposition and sublimation of a coloring matter from the inside of the colored film to stain production equipment. |
