<p>A safety doorstop, particularly for sliding panels e.g. patio doors, comprises a roller (not shown), a pivotable mounting arm 22, a support member 24, resilient bias means (not shown) for urging the mounting arm 22 into an operative position and stop means to limit movement of the mounting arm 22 in order to prevent straining of the bias means. The stop means is provided by cooperating parts of the support member 24 and the mounting arm 22, the support member 24 having a cammed formation 52 and the mounting arm having a complementary formation 61. This arrangement limits the degree of rotation of the mounting arm 22 in both clockwise and anti-clockwise directions.</p> |
