REVERSIBLE HEAT-SENSITIVE RECORDING BODY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high contrast between a generation part and an extinction part and obtain superior preservation properties for image by using in a heat- sensitive recording layer, a dye precursor and a sulfonyl urea compound including a non-phenol long-chain alkyl group as a developer. SOLUTION: The reversible heat-sensitive recording body has on a sheet-like supporting body a heat-sensitive recording layer including a dye precursor and a developer which makes the dye precursor reversibly generate and extinguish color. The developer includes at least one aromatic compound expressed by the formula in one molecule. The recording layer generates and extinguishes color only when a sulfonyl urea compound having a long-chain alkyl group of 11 or more carbons is used as the developer. The color is generated at a heating temperature of 80-180 deg.C, and extinguished at 50-120 deg.C not higher than the heating temperature. The color-generated and extinguished state is maintained even when the recording body is cooled at room temperatures.
