RECYCLING OF CARBON DIOXIDE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a compact system good in energy efficiency by utilizing heat of carbon dioxide-containing exhaust gas when fine algae obtained by again propagating fine algae to which carbon dioxide is fixed is used as fuel to dry propagated fine algae. SOLUTION: The exhaust gas from the boiler 5 of a steam power plant is brought into contact with algae from an algae recovery apparatus 2 within a dryer 3. Thereupon, the exhaust gas removes moisture of algae to Lake heat of evaporation from algae to be lowered in its temp. but, at the same time, the water content of algae lowers. The dried algae are molded into pellets in an algae solidifying device 6 to be recycled to the boiler 5 as fuel. The exhaust gas lowered in its temp. is introduced into a CO2 recovery device 4 and only CO2 is efficiently separated from the exhaust gas by an absorptive separation method using an amine aq. soln. to be used as a substrate of the photosynthesis of algae in an algae culture tank 1. As mentioned above, carbon dioxide is recovered and reutilized as fuel to obtain a system good in energy efficiency.
