PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a molded product extremely inexpensive and lightweight as compared with a case using a plastic raw material by using vegetable fibers as a base material to mold the same by hot press treatment. SOLUTION: A cage upper part 1-1 is molded by hot press treatment and subsequently subjected to 'pull-out' treatment to form the skeletal part of a window or roof. After the cage upper part 1-1 and a cage bottom part 1-2 are separately formed, the cage upper part 1-1 is fitted in the cage bottom part 1-2 in a freely separable manner to complete a birdcage 1. By this constitution, when the cage bottom part 1-2 is contaminated with droppings of a bird, it is separated to be replaced with a new one to be discarded. Since the cage bottom part 1-2 is made of vegetable fibers, it is rapidly corroded and incinerated without generating harmful gas and, as a result, global environment is not contaminated. The cage bottom part 1-2 can be made disposable and can be produced extremely inexpensively. |
