PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the close adhesiveness of TiO2 to a base material when TiO2 is fixed to the base material. SOLUTION: Powder glass and a TiO2 powder are put in distilled water and dispersed by an ultrasonic washing device to prepare paste. A Ti net having a TiO2 layer formed to the surface thereof by the heat treatment of the Ti net in the atmoshere is immersed in the paste to bring the surface of the TiO2 net to a uniformly wetted state. This TiO2 net is dried by air and sintered at 750 deg.C in the atmosphere within a heat treatment furnace to obtain a photocatalyst.
