PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new compound expressed by a specific formula, having a strong insecticidal action, especially exhibiting an excellent insecticidal action on injurious insects belonging to the order Lepidoptera or the order Coleoptera. SOLUTION: The objective compound is expressed by formula I[R<1> is a halogen; R<2> is H or a 1-4C alkyl; R<3> is cyano, a (substituted) 1-4C alkyl, a (substituted) 2-4C alkenyl, a 3-4C alkynyl or a 1-4C alkyl-carbonyl;R<4> is H, a (substituted) phenyl or a (substituted) 1-8C alkyl, etc.; R<5> is H, formyl, phenyl or a (substituted) 1-8C alkyl, etc.; R<6> is H or a halogen; R<7> is H, a halogen or a 1-2C alkyl; (n) is 0, 1 or 2; a vertical zigzag mark exhibits a single bond such as an anti conformation or a syn conformation]. The compound can be obtained by, e.g. reacting a compound of formula II with a compound of formula III, concretely, reacting 4-chloro-4'-methylmercaptomethyl benzophenone with ethyl carbazate in the presence of acid catalyst. |
