<p>The filter (1) for tea or coffee-maker includes an upper ring (2), and a lower ring (3) which encloses a wire mesh filter discs (4). The filter (1) is cheap because the rings (2, 3) are joined together and to the wire mesh disc (4) by pressing the plastic once; this creates a moulded filter (1) which is ready- to- use. The filter (1) is effective because the upper ring (2) can be fixed to the shaft of the tea- or coffee-maker and has shelves (5) around its edge which are not completely fixed to the wire mesh disc (4) but curve upwards so as to follow the free edge (12) of the wire mesh disc (4). The filter (1) can be manufactured using a press for plastics; in order to obtain only the partial adhesion of the shelves (5) to the wire mesh disc (4) this has undercutting devices (50) which can be removed and repositioned automatically as the press opens and closes.</p> |
