Electrical switchgear device for MV range

The switchgear device (1) uses encapsulated electrical function modules (2) with MV function spaces coupled to a pressure venting channel (4) via emergency pressure venting elements. The pressure venting channel leads to at least one opening (5) in the encapsulation housing, provided with a damping element (3) for absorbing the thermic energy and the pressure wave resulting from internal arcing. The damping element is provided by a capsule fitted in the damping opening with a number of flow resistances and deflector elements acting as absorption elements for the thermic energy.
