Method of loosening nuts and bolts for disassembly

An eyelet made of steel wire which has a short straight radial extension with a smaller eyelet at the top is used. The diameter of the eyelet is formed to match the diameter of a bolt or stud screw thread around which the loop is placed, before the bolt head or nut is tightened during assembly. The end of the eyelet loop is not physically joined to the beginning of the loop, but they are in close proximity. When subsequently removing the nut or bolt, the eyelet is opened with the aid of a pair of pliers or other convenient hand tool, removing the internal pressure from the thread faces. The smaller eyelet at the end of the radial extension aids easy removal e.g. in confined spaces using a hook.
