A diene polymer composition which comprises (A) a branched diene polymer component composed of three or more diene polymer chains bonded to each other through a polyfunctional coupling agent and (B) a linear diene polymer component having quaternary ammonium groups and a weight-average molecular weight (Mw) of 100,000 to 2,000,000; a process for the preparation of the diene polymer composition; and a rubber composition which comprises a rubber component containing the diene polymer composition and a reinforcement.
