The braking pressure control/regulation system has a pressure regulation circuit (30), controlling the braking pressure provided by the hydraulic pressure generator (2) supplied to each of the wheel braking cylinders (51,52,53,54), via a number of pressure regulators (31,32,33,34,35,36). The pressure regulation circuit contains a brake fluid reservoir (23,24) and a pump (21,22), with monitoring of the pump motor output voltage gradient for indicating a fault in the brake fluid reservoir or the pump motor (20).
