A screw fitting element, such as a screw (1) or nut, has a head part (2) and a threaded part (3). A sealing body (12) made of an elastically deformable material is mounted on the head part (2). The sealing body (12) has a circumferential sealing area (13) in the transition zone between a bearing surface (10) shaped below the head part (2) and an outer surface (7) of the head part (2). The sealing area (13) is designed and/or arranged in such a way that when the screw fitting element is tightened the gap between the head part (2) and a part (15) supported on the bearing surface (10) can be sealed around its circumference at least against liquids. |
