摘要 PURPOSE:To produce the title material which has high isotropic vibration- damping properties in addition to lightness in wt. or high strengths. CONSTITUTION:The title material comprising 1-30vol.% vibration-damping rubber or plastics and 99-70vol.% at least one material selected from the group consisting of magnesium, iron, copper, and their alloys is produced, e.g. by mixing particles of raw materials in such amts. that the desired vol. ratio is obtd. and compression-molding the resulting mixture under a hydrostatic pressure of 100 atm or higher. For example, a mixture of particles of a butadiene- acrylonitrile rubber or a polyurethane elastomer with particles of magnesium or an Fe-carbon-Cu alloy is compression-molded under a hydrostatic pressure of about 4,000 atm to give the title material having excellent vibration--damping properties.
