Bio-active dust and oil and fat droplet removing air filter

The device is used to remove dust and aerosol particles from air in a room. It may act as a bio-active filter in combination with a decorative house plant. The device consists of a filter with a special substrate and a nutrient medium which may support bacteria which can break down compounds responsible for smells. The filter is associated with a pot which contains the plant. The filter may contain activated carbon to trap pathogenic bacteria. The filter and the house plant, e.g. a cut plant may be associated with a lamp.
