PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a film which is scratch- and corrosion-resistant, is free from pinholes and from dissolution of oligomers, and is useful for a laminate with a metal sheet by imparting specified characteristics to a polyester film. SOLUTION: This film based on a polyester resin pref. contg. 70mol% or higher ethylene terephthalate units (e.g. a mixture of polyethylene terephthalate and a polyethylene terephthalate-polytetramethylene glycol ether block copolymer) is given such characteristics that the coefficientl of dynamic friction between the film and a metal at 80 deg.C is 0.45 or lower, that the number of pinholes having a diameter of 0.1mm or higher is 0/1,000m<2> or lower, pref. 0/10,000m<2> or lower, still pref. 0/100,000m<2> or lower, and that the content of a cyclic ethylene terephthalate trimer is pref. 0.7wt.% or lower. |
