PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent push button switches of an operation panel from malfunctioning and being broken by providing a protecting device which projects to a side of a vertical row composed of a plurality of push buttons in an operating panel for an elevator provided with a lot of push button switches projecting from the panel face in an elastic restitutive state. SOLUTION: When a riding car door 2 is opened and a fork lift having baggage loaded on a riding car 1 is entered, and if the fork lift approaches too much to an operation panel 4, the baggage abuts on a protection device 6a so as to prevent it from abutting on push button switches 5. Moreover, the protection device 6a, whose operation panel side is projected more than its outside and inclined, pushes the baggage in the direction for keeping away from the push button switches 5 and at the same time releases a collision force so that the protection device 6 is prevented from being broken. On the other hand, when the fork lift goes out therefrom, it abuts on the protection device 6b in the same way so as to prevent it from abutting on the push button switches 5. |
