PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moon-surface rover that can go over an obstacle or a level diffrence, that can run even a slop and a sand area on which a wheel is likely to race, and that is excellent in traveling property. SOLUTION: A moon-surface rover comprises a car body 1, two shafts 2 for supporting the car body 1, four arms 3 engaged at their centers with both ends of each shafts 2 and rotatable on the shafts 2 by built-in motor, and eight drive wheels 4 attached to the front ends of the arms, and respectively incorporating drive motors so as to be independently driven. The selenographic rover can run in two modes in one of which only the eight drive wheels 4 are used, and in the other one of which the arms 3 are rotated around the shafts 2, using the drive wheels 4 treading the ground as lever fulcrums during running on a slope, a bump or a sand area where the running is difficult only with the wheels 4 so as to advance the car body 1. |
