Self loading container lorry - with extending ramps for sling trolleys at each end of container

The container is supported at each end by slings (18) from vertical supports (15). The supports are mounted on trolleys (14) which move laterally on extending ramp or rails (12) so that the container may be dropped to the ground beside the lorry, or transferred to a rail truck. The tops of the supports may be joined by a gantry beam and extending legs (21, 13). The hoists are compact and simple. They do not restrict the maximum length of container. The extending rails can be either telescopic or hinged and operated by simple hydraulic rams.
