Coupling connector between two rail vehicles

The coupling connector comprises an electrical cable arrangement which has at least one helix (7.1,7.2) coiled continuously in more than one coil and which encompasses a telescopic rod (4) in the axial direction. The coils are located concentrically with the telescopic tube and radially spaced from it. The coils may have different diameters and opposite directions of coiling, and different coil pitches. At least one of the coils consists of an electrically conducting wire clad by an electrically insulating sheath.
