Inner rim of tube cap with radial slits and ratchet-like teeth

The tube containing e.g. toothpaste, mustard, cosmetics or ointment is closed by a cap incorporating a number of radial slits and a suction pad (1) pointing away from the tube. The suction pad secures the tube in a given required location. The inner face of the cap has a cone which projects into and seals the tube outlet. A wide outer section of the cap (3) provides lateral support and stability for the inverted tube. The junction of the conical (4) inner cap wall and rear face of the cap adjacent to the suction pad, has a groove (4.1) to enhance the elasticity of the inner cap wall. The inner face of the inner cap wall incorporates ratchet-like teeth (5) which grip the outer neck of the tube. The cap incorporates a tab finger (6) which also provides space for e.g. company logos.
