A device including a vertical discharge pipe (1) on top of which a receptacle (2) flush with the roof surface and with a larger cross-section than that of the pipe is provided, and an anti-vortex device (5) with a cross-section greater than that of the pipe (1) and lesser than that of the receptacle (2) mounted inside said receptacle over the inlet end of the discharge pipe (1), characterised in that the anti-vortex device has a solid tapering wall (6) with peripheral axial wings (7) engaging the bottom portion of the receptacle surrounding the discharge pipe inlet and defining, with said bottom portion, radial channels for conducting water towards the discharge pipe, and in that the tapering wall (6) is aligned with a frustoconical portion (3) of the receptacle wall so as to form therewith a water passage (6a).
