This invention relates to a breaking post 1 made of wood, which is intended to support road-lighting arrangements, aerial cables and the like. The invention is based on a post of known type being provided with bores 4 which are inclined in relation to the longitudinal axis and cross from one side of the post to the other. Arranged through these holes is a wire 14, the lower end of which is fastened to that part of the post which is underground, and the upper end of which has a drawing attachment, the cross section of which is greater than the diameter of the holes. When a vehicle collides with the post 1, the wire draws the attachment through the holes 4, giving rise to a vehicle-stopping braking effect. <IMAGE> |
