PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid jet device using the surface elasticity waves for improving the energy efficiency and the quality of liquid droplets. SOLUTION: In an ink jet recording device, surface elasticity waves 5 from a surface elasticity wave generating means having a comb-shaped cross finger electrode 2 is converged on a boundary for a liquid feed means for an ink pool 7 and the like or its vicinity by a lens section 4 provided on a propagation surface 1a of a propagation body 1. The density of energy of the surface elasticity waves 5 is increased by the lens section 4, collected on one point on the interface with ink wastelessly and discharged as bulk waves of large exciting power into ink liquid in the ink pool 7, and ink droplets 8 are jetted efficiently. As the strength distribution of exciting power of the drawn surface elasticity waves 5 in the vicinity of focus is formed into the sharp angle, droplets of small particle diameter can be jetted out. |
