PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position detecting device of a production head which is capable of easily detecting and setting the rolling condition of the head, and consumes less power. SOLUTION: A rolling condition detecting means capable of detecting the rolling condition of the prescribed part of a propulsion head, and a detection signal transmitting means to transmit various position detection signals according to the rolling condition are provided. The rolling condition is divided into a plurality of rolling condition zones corresponding to the rotational angle in a case where the rotational axial direction is the propulsion direction, and the rolling condition zone 5 are classified into the ON zone 5a capable of transmitting the position detection signal and the OFF zone 5b to transmit no position detection signals, and the ON zone 5a and the OFF zone 5b are alternately allotted to the rotational angle. A transmission control part to change the modulated condition of the position detection signal corresponding to each ON zone 5a in a discriminating manner between ON zones 5a, and controls the transmission of the position detection signal, is provided. |
