<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform double-side printing by one printer having a paper feed member for feeding paper which is turned upside down by an inside and outside reversal mechanism and shifted in its lateral direction to the remaining part of the transfer surface of a transfer member. SOLUTION: A paper 12 is sent into a gap between a transfer drum 24 and a pressure contact roller 26 on the right-hand side of the transfer drum 24 through guide rollers 20, 22. Thereafter, the paper 12 is sent to an inside and outside reversal mechanism 18 through fixing rollers 28a, 28b and guide rollers 30, 32 and turned upside down and shifted in its lateral direction by paper width +α. The inside and outside reversal mechanism 18 consists of two 90 deg. turning rollers 34, 38 turning the paper 12 by 90 deg. and two reversal rollers 36, 40. The paper 12 issued from the inside and outside reversal mechanism 18 is sent into the nip between the transfer drum 24 and the pressure contact roller 28 on the left-hand side of the transfer drum. The paper 12 is subsequently taken up by a taking-up roller 14 through the fixing rollers 28a, 28b, slip rollers 46a, 46b and guide rollers 48, 50.</p> |
