PURPOSE:To obtain uniform print result without changing information on print starting position even if a label printer has a different origin by correcting a print starting position based on deviation quantity even if an origin for deciding the print starting position of a printing data is deviated from an origin corresponding to a print width of a machine. CONSTITUTION:In a label printer having a machine code M3, when a reference setting command is received from a personal computer corresponding to a label printer having a machine code M1, a print width corresponding to the machine code M1 under command is read out from a machine table. Next, the print width is read out from a default memory so as to calculate a correction value D. Then, the correction value D is added to an x of a coordinate X at the print starting position set by a label form command to be received later, so as to perform a correction. As a result, a printing is started from a position p3. The position p3 coincides with a position p1 so that the same print result can be obtain with the label printer having the machine code M1 and the label printer having the machine code M3 by using one and the same personal computer. |
