PURPOSE: To make an output image from an opposite equipment connected via a transmission line proper by converting image data received from the transmission line into image data in response to an output characteristic of an image forming means by means of an image processing means. CONSTITUTION: The processing means is provided with a CCD scanner 1 reading an original image and generating image data, an image forming section forming an image, a connection means receiving and outputting the image data and an image processing means applying image processing to the image data. When the connection means is used to receive the original image data from the scanner 1 and to provide an output to a system bus 13, the original image data corrected by an input characteristic of the scanner 1 are outputted to the system bus 13. On the other hand, when the image data received from the system bus 13 are outputted to the image forming section, the image data received from the system bus 13 are converted into image data in response to an output characteristic of the image forming means by means of the image processing means. |
