PURPOSE:To obtain an electromagnetic steel sheet for a laminated core capable of executing high-speed welding even to a laminated end face having excellent punchability and space factor and rectangular to the direction of rolling. CONSTITUTION:Center-plane mean roughness SRa displayed in three-dimensions is set in 0.15-0.50mum, a cut-surface area ratio in a center plane in 80% or less and the number of projecting sections per a unit area of 1mm<2> cut by the center plane in fifty or more in the base iron surface of an electromagnetic steel sheet, and the base iron surface has surface roughness satisfying the relationship of formula LPc/CPc>=0.6 (where LPc: the number of the projecting sections in the direction of rolling and CPc: the number of the projecting sections in the direction rectangular to the direction of rolling) regarding the ratio of the number of the projections in the direction of rolling by two-dimensional surface roughness to the number of the projecting sections in the direction rectangular to the direction of rolling.
