PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to measure output from history or void distribution or water level when neutral orγ-ray is arrived out of a core from the core by providing the subject apparatus with a unit connected to an amplifier and to a signal processor for specifying the position of radioactive ray to distribute the output or void or analyze water levels. SOLUTION: The radioactive ray distribution at the water level of the periphery of a reactor pressure vessel 1 can be obtained by an out-of-core instrumentation apparatus 5 by reductive ray detectors 6. Since signals of the individual detectors 6 are very weak, they are sent to a preamplifier 7. The output of the preamplifier 7 is sent to a signal processor 8 as signal pulses, and the processor 8 analyzes the intensity of the ray from the sent signals and sends it to a computer 9 at each occurring time. The computer 9 calculates the spatial intensity distribution of neuron orγ-ray of the output distribution of the timing change. The reactor water information is extracted by using the change of the output at each space area, and void distribution information is calculated from the change of the timing signal.
