PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method to burn a combustible gas even at a low temp. and to stably burn in a completely oxidation even at a high temp. SOLUTION: A carrier containing complex oxides consisting of at least two kinds or more oxides among the oxides in the group consisting of alumina, silica, titania and zirconia and rare earth metal element oxides, is immersed into a palladium salt aqueous solution, dried and sintered, and then powder of a catalyst component carrying an obtained palladium oxide is applied on a heat-resistant base material to obtain the catalyst. The catalyst is arranged at the front stage of a combustible gas flow path, or powder of the catalyst component in which palladium oxide powder having 1-100μm particle diameter is mixed and deposited on the same carrier as the above-mentioned one is applied on a heat-resistant base material and then an obtained catalyst is arranged at the post stage of the above mentioned catalyst, thus combustible gas is burned. |
