PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To insulation by holding constant the gaps in and the shape of a coil. SOLUTION: A light emitting tube 1 in which at least either a discharge gas or a light emitting material is sealed is provided. An outer tube 3 is placed around the light emitting tube 1. A coil 4 is provided on the outer peripheral surface of the outer tube 3 in such a way as to have a discharge path in two or more windings. A protective film 5 covering the coil 4 throughout the circumferential area of the coil 4 is provided. The protective film 5 increases the creeping distance of the coil 4, securing insulation.
