PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an automatic transmission which smoothly controls speed change motion in the automatic transmission without using an accumulator. SOLUTION: In order to delay the engagement of a clutch (specially a forward clutch and reverse clutch) where initial oil pressure in the hydraulic circuit is directly supplied, the motion of the shift valve is delayed in the case where a shift valve is provided in a hydraulic circuit to be controlled. On anther occasion, oil pressure is controlled by controlling a duty solenoid valve for controlling the initial oil pressure of the hydraulic circuit of controlling the oil pressure of a clutch line (step S111, 112). Thus the speed change motion can be smoothly carried out extending over a wide temperature range. |
