PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the degree of freedom in setting a weight distribution and to drastically widen a sweet area by forming the annular weight block fixed to the peripheral part on the back side of a head body of sintered and forged parts consisting essentially of tungsten having the sp. gr. higher than the sp. gr. of the material of the head body. SOLUTION: The club head of the iron club is constituted by fitting and fixing the continuous annular weight block 13 which is formed to the same shape as the shape of the continuous annular hollow groove 12 formed in the peripheral part on the back 2 side of the head body 11 into this hollow groove. The head body 11 is formed of the titanium material and the weight block 13 is formed of the sintered and forged parts consisting essentially of the tungsten W. The weight block consisting of such sintered and forged parts is produced by the sintering and forging method of the powder of the metallurgy and consists essentially of tungsten W and has the extremely high sp. gr. and are formable to a desired shape as these parts can have a sufficient weight with the small volume. In addition, the degree of freedom in setting the weight distribution is increased.
