PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filament for a tubular bulb, its manufacture and the tubular bulb employing the filament, which can prevent melanism from being produced in the tube wall while the tubular bulb is lighting. SOLUTION: A both base type halogen electric bulb is made of quartz glass, is provided with a filament 2 having bubble holes each of which is less than 1μm in the maximum diameter, over a grain boundary surface in the inside of a straight pipe shaped bulb 1 of outer diameter 9mm and bulb length 106mm, and both the end parts of the filament 2 are sealed by both the end parts of the bulb 1 respectively. Halogen gas in a C-H-Br system is enclosed in the inside of the sealed bulb 1, and the filament 2 is supported by an anchor support 3. Besides, bases 5 are provided for sealing parts 4 at both the end parts of the bulb 1.
