A mfg. method for contact point or tip (1), involving several springy mutually parallel and peripherally arranged contact fingers (2), each of which has at least one free end (3), is based on initially mfg. a hollow cylindrical casting body (4), the latter having contact finger bodies (5,6), each of which is rounded off and several of which are interconnected by casting webs (7,80). The webs (7,8) are then removed, by cutting, or machining, at least in the region of the end-faces of the casting body (4).
